Day 4 < >

At leisure in Sylhet/FFABB

Today you will have the day free to explore the option of seed funding a local person in need through the FFABB project run by Amcariza Foundation. This British charity, set up by Lovedesh founder Yasmin Choudhury, is a grass roots organisation that offers free grants to impoverished artisans, women and menial workers. It’s all cheerful fun and helps to get you immersed with the local folks in a way that is natural, dignified and sustainable. All transport and costs for FFABB are included. The Amcariza team will have already helped you pick your project before you fly out from the UK. From planting a tree, to buying seeds for a farmer or heading off to the local book shop to buy books for a local family. If this is not your cup of tea, perhaps you would prefer to explore at your own pace? You can visit the local market towns of Zindabazaar or Amberkhana, home to the Shahjalal Shrine, learn about the local street food, go shopping or enjoy a treatment at a local beauty parlour. For these options, you can rent your own personal English speaking guide at an extra cost of USD20, plus hire your own vehicle with private driver (extra cost). Or feel free to just stay back, enjoy the sunshine and relax.
